The verdict
The Ecovacs Winbot W3 Omni is a vacuum-adhesion window cleaning robot and scored 82 of 100 against the benchmark for window cleaning robots (vacuum adhesion), well clear of the 70-point award threshold. All five mandatory safety and conformity criteria are documented, all five expectations of its price class are met, and no negative characteristics were recorded during the assessment. Seven separate bonus features were additionally verified, which is what lifts the result well above the base level.
The result is arithmetic, not editorial: 70 points form the base, seven documented bonus features contribute the capped maximum of 15 points, no warranty bonus applies, and the price position subtracts three points. Coverage of the benchmark criteria reached 84.6 percent. Most findings rest on manufacturer documentation, the EU app store listing, an EU retail listing and the product manual, with two to four independent sources per criterion.
Because the verified reference price of €529.00 sits just below the €550 entry point of the premium class, the case was calculated in both adjacent classes. The upper mid-range run returns 79 points, the premium run 82 points. The award therefore holds regardless of where the classification falls, and the difference between the two runs amounts to three points, which is the more informative reading of a price sitting on a class boundary.
Why it won
Station washes the pads
The Vortex Wash station cleans and re-wets the wiping pads automatically in about one minute, so the robot does not spread the dirt it has just collected. This is the class expectation for pad self-cleaning, and it is a documented part of the reason equipment was rated clearly above class level.
Control without cloud dependency
Core functions are available over a direct Bluetooth or WLAN connection as well as through the Ecovacs Home app, so operation does not depend on a cloud account. Voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Home is documented in addition, with the manufacturer noting that smart home commands are not available in every region.
Fall protection on record
The included safety rope is a three-layer composite rated to tensile loads of up to 100 kg, with a second one-metre rope anchored at the station base. After a power failure the backup battery holds the robot on the glass for over 30 minutes, and an opto-coupler sensor detects edges in 0.02 seconds.
Range of glass covered
The robot is specified for panes from 30 by 40 cm upward, which covers muntin and period windows, and for inclinations up to plus or minus 80 degrees, which covers roof glazing. Battery runtime is stated at 130 minutes plus or minus ten percent per charge, above the class expectation of roughly 100 minutes.
Price and value
The verified reference price is €529.00, the lowest of four checked sources ranging from €529.00 to €699.00. The unit is assessed in the premium class, which starts at €550 and expects a pad-washing station, dedicated edge and corner hardware, a spray system covering the full wiping width, around 100 minutes of mains-independent runtime and automatic adaptation to the pane. All five are documented. Price position cost three points; the awarded bonus features returned the capped 15.

What to consider
Every expectation of the benchmark was met and no negative characteristics were recorded, but two limits belong on record. Warranty terms could not be verified, so no warranty bonus was granted. CE conformity is treated as assumed on the basis of documented EU distribution rather than a filed declaration. Beyond that, the assessment covers documented properties only: long-term durability, cleaning results on individual glass and service quality are outside its scope.
