Recognition earned through data, not opinion.
We show buyers — clearly and verifiably — when a product delivers exceptional value for its price. To do that, we compare its documented features with what buyers can expect in the same category and European price class. Products that meet our published standard earn the European Best Value Award — under the same rules for everyone and backed by a public report showing every source and every point.

A market benchmark, not a jury opinion.
The product is placed in the right category and price class before a single point is calculated. The rules are published in advance and apply to every product alike.
-
01
Identify and gate
We confirm the exact model and variant, a documented European price, every mandatory feature and the absence of an active safety recall.
-
02
Fix the price class
The lowest documented European offer selects the benchmark class. A ±10% boundary rule calculates both neighbouring classes fairly.
-
03
Match the benchmark
Expected, above-class and negative characteristics are matched to a source URL and excerpt. Unverified claims count as absent.
-
04
Calculate and publish
The rule engine calculates the score. At 70 or more the product earns the award and gets a permanent public record. Below that, nothing is published — we report winners, not failures.
Score anatomy
Calibrated to the category median.
A product meeting every expectation of its price class starts at 70. Distinctive value adds points; documented gaps and drawbacks subtract them. What we cannot document counts as absent — that is deliberately strict, and it can cost a good product points.
The total is clamped to 0–100. A score exists only if all knock-out gates pass.

- Base when all class expectations are met

- +15
- maximum bonus for above-class features
- −3 / +3
- warranty adjustment
- 0 / +2 / +5
- price-position bonus within the class
Where the findings come from
Every point must resolve to a source.
We research each product ourselves — manufacturer pages, datasheets, manuals, registers and retail listings. When sources disagree, the stronger evidence wins; several independent sources saying the same thing weigh more than a single mention. Manufacturer submissions are labelled as such.

For manufacturers
Turn product value into a claim buyers can check.
Many awards are issued without any involvement on the manufacturer's side. If your product earned one, a licence lets you advertise with the seal. If it has not been assessed yet, start with a free estimate or commission an assessment — neither buys the outcome. The register in your category is public either way, to buyers and to your competitors.
