  • Repeatedly documented severe OS defects (crashes, extreme sluggishness, connection drops)-5
  • Intrusive OS advertising or ACR tracking documented as not switchable off-4
  • Panel quality variance repeatedly documented in independent tests or reviews (banding, blooming, DSE) AND evidence that the manufacturer provides no remedy: a documented refusal of replacement or repair, or a public statement classifying the variance as normal-4
  • Core functions (TV reception, input selection) usable only with a vendor account or a permanent cloud connection (per manual or independent test) AND processing is evidenced to take place exclusively outside the EU/EEA with no selectable EU region AND GDPR information is missing (neither a privacy policy stating legal basis and third-country transfer nor equivalent app-store data disclosures)-4
  • HDR advertised but no effective HDR reproduction in independent measurement (peak brightness well below approx. 300 nits, 8-bit panel)-3
