Assessed on our own initiative
The manufacturer was not involved in this assessment, was not contacted about it, and paid nothing for it. The European Product Evaluation Institute selected this product itself and assessed it against the published category benchmark using publicly documented evidence only.
The verdict
The Roborock Saros 10R is a vacuum-mop robot with an auto-empty dock that also washes and dries its mop pads. It scored 82 out of 100 against the robot vacuum benchmark, well clear of the 70-point award threshold. All three mandatory criteria are satisfied, and all four expectations defined for its price class are met, so no expectation deductions applied. The assessment covered 92.3 percent of the benchmark criteria.
The surplus above the 70-point base comes entirely from bonus features. Ten were awarded, together worth 28 points and therefore capped at the maximum of 15 the method allows: among them a dock variant with fixed water supply and drainage, local control via Matter, individually available wear parts and an anti-tangle brush with independent certification. A twelve-month warranty deducted three points; the reference price produced no class bonus.
No negative characteristics were recorded, and no class expectation had to be logged as unverified or missing. The result therefore rests on documented capability across the full criteria set rather than on gaps in the evidence. A control run against the next higher price class produced 79 points, so the award holds regardless of where the borderline is drawn.
Why it won
Dock does the dirty work
The dock empties the onboard dust bin automatically, washes the mop pads with 80 °C hot water and dries them with 60 °C hot air. A variant with a fixed plumbing connection is offered, with documented clean-water inlet, dirty-water outlet and a stated supply pressure range of 0.1 to 0.4 MPa.
Local control, no cloud requirement
The robot can be operated offline without a WiFi connection and is compatible with the Matter protocol, including Apple Home. Data security is TÜV-certified to ETSI EN 303 645 with no cloud storage. This bonus, worth four points, is rare enough in the category to carry real weight.
Hair tangling addressed by test
The DuoDivide brush is certified by SGS with a zero percent hair tangle rate. The criterion demands evidence from the manufacturer or an independent test rather than a marketing claim, and the certification satisfies it; the point award is based on that documentation, confirmed by four independent sources.
Low body, high thresholds
At 7.98 cm the chassis clears the 10 cm flat-build bonus threshold, allowing access under low furniture. The AdaptiLift chassis is documented as crossing double-layer door thresholds up to 4 cm. Quiet mop-only operation is specified at 55 dB(A), below the 60 dB(A) mark the benchmark rewards.
Price and value
The verified reference price is €866.56, taken from three independent European listings ranging from €866.56 to €1,049.00. That places the Saros 10R in the upper price class, defined as €500 to €900, and near the top of that band, so no price-position bonus was granted. It has to answer the full expectation set for that class on capability alone, and it meets all four expectations without exception.

What to consider
The warranty is twelve months, which cost three points under the method; a longer term would have improved the score. Beyond that, no negative characteristics and no unverified expectations were recorded. The assessment is evidence-based and documentary: it does not measure long-term durability, cleaning performance over years of use, service and repair quality, or subjective factors such as noise character and app ergonomics.
